Solar PV - Panels and Equipment
Photovoltaic Modules
Photovoltaic modules, usually mounted onto the roof of a building convert daylight into electricity. Photovoltaic cells are made up of thin layers of semi-conducting material (usually crystalline silicon) which generate an electrical charge when exposed to direct or diffuse daylight.
Invertor
Invertors convert the direct current generated by the solar modules into grid-acceptable alternating current. Thus they form the heart of every solar energy system.
Frame
Many different Solar PV framing solutions are available to suit various installations such as flat and sloping roofs.
